Bret Petersen - Candidate

Bret Petersen

Bret Petersen developed a love of family history research at a young age and it continued through his college years at Brigham Young University where he graduated with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Education.
His interest in computers spurred to him into professional training, support and management roles in various technology companies.

He has served on the UGA Board for 3 years, the last two as President. He is a graduate of the National Institute on Genealogical Research and has completed courses at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy. As a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild he has been a presenter and teacher for groups ranging from just a few to several hundred participants.
He loves teaching and helping others learn all they can about using technology in researching their family history. He also enjoys sharing his family history data with any of his relatives via his online family history site.

Reason For Running: I have thoroughly enjoyed working to promote the goals of the Utah Genealogical Association. I hope to continue working with the board and other volunteers to advance those goals and promote genealogy education, networking and preservation.  I hope to you have your support in doing so.
